I found out about oDesk from a meetup.com group I regularly attend. San Diego Web Technologies Group. oDesk.com is a service similar to findafreelancer.com. It allows developers to create profiles listing their skillsets and upload resumes. Then businesses search the developers to find and potentially hire candidates from the developer listings. The biggest difference between oDesk, and other similar services seems to be that oDesk attempts to verify their users' skillsets by providing tests. Seems pretty cool. Hopefully I'll find a few good projects to play with and make some money while I'm at it =)
